BOE is one of the leading suppliers of TFT LCD panels in China. Its 5-generation line in Beijing and 5-generation SVW in Shanghai are also the second 5-generation panel makers built in China, Dragon, known as China's three panel makers.
BOE is currently the production capacity of the panel to Beijing's 5th generation plant-based, single-month equipment is the largest volume of about 85,000 cast glass substrate, the main supply of IT and small and medium size panels. In addition, the new 4.5-generation line started its operation in Chengdu, Sichuan province in early 2008. The plant has entered the stage of equipment migration. It is expected to start production in July 2009 with a monthly output of 30,000 pieces of glass substrates for small and medium size panels.
The recent investment in the new plant is the 6th generation plant recently started in Hefei, Anhui Province. It is expected to put into operation as early as the fourth quarter of 2010 and plans to produce 90,000 glass substrates per month.
